The Best Salesforce Admin Job Description & Template
Salesforce Admin job descriptions are all pretty much the same, so to stand out you need to give more than just a boring set of tasks the applicant will be performing. Here, we give you some tips to draft the absolute best Admin job description.
A Salesforce Administrator is a key role in any Salesforce team. We believe that the best way to see ROI with Salesforce is to properly resource your team, and Salesforce Admins are where it all begins.
Salesforce Admins are responsible for managing and optimizing the platform. They act as the main liaison to stakeholders and users, while playing the role of a configuration expert and Product Manager, ensuring that the technology aligns with the business needs and supports the sales and customer relationship management processes effectively.
Make Your Salesforce Admin Job Stand Out
Companies treat recruiting as an operations role, when in reality it's more similar to Sales. If you use the same exact job description that everyone else out there is using, you'll never stand out.
Salesforce Admins know what their role usually entails. It's what they trained and prepared for! If you want your Salesforce Admin job description to stand out, you need to give an insight into the team. Candidates want to understand how their day-to-day might look like at your company.
What the best Salesforce Admins want to know:
The size of the team (even if this is the first Salesforce hire, add it as an opportunity on the job description)
The organizational structure (who does the Salesforce team report to: Is it Rev Ops or Business Systems?)
What is in the Technology Stack (Is the company only on Sales Cloud? Marketing Cloud? CPQ? What is integrated to Salesforce?)
How many Reps they'll be supporting (What is the Admin:Rep ratio?)
What are some of the upcoming Salesforce initiatives? (This shows that you plan to invest in Salesforce.)
